Our Team
Meet Our Principals

Cammie Walker
Hello, my name is Cammie Walker, and I am the Principal at Treehouse Children’s Academy on 13th Street. I have worked in childcare and early education for 18 years, and over that time, I’ve developed a deep passion for nurturing children’s growth and helping them discover their unique potential. I believe that every child learns and grows at their own pace, and I enjoy finding creative and engaging ways to make learning meaningful for each individual. In addition to my professional experience, I am a proud mother of four wonderful children. I am truly honored to partner with you in guiding your children through these important early years—supporting their development, fostering a love for learning, and teaching them about the love of Christ.

Samantha Flores
As a single mother to my 14-year-old daughter, Analia, I understand the significance of creating a nurturing and safe environment for young individuals. In my personal life, I cherish spending quality time with my family, including our 3-year-old dog, Zoe. Together, Analia, Zoe, and I love traveling and enjoying the outdoors, whether it’s taking nature walks or simply relishing the fresh air. During moments of downtime, I also enjoy puzzles and reading.
My passion for working with children has been a driving force since my early years, and it continues to fuel my dedication to this profession. I take immense pride in my work and am committed to providing a positive, nurturing atmosphere where each child can thrive. I am particularly grateful to work for an organization that upholds Christian principles, which align closely with my own values. I believe in supporting not only the academic but also the character and spiritual growth of every child.
As Principal, my foremost goal is to ensure that each family receives the highest quality of care and support. It is essential to me that every child feels welcomed, valued, and cherished within our academy, creating a home-like environment where they can flourish. I look forward to personally meeting each of you and partnering with your family as we embark on this meaningful journey together.

Darion Garcia
My name is Darion Garza and I am the principal at TreeHouse Children’s Academy on 82nd. I have been working in early education for many years now. I have worked for TreeHouse Children’s Academy for 4 years and have won Best of Lubbock multiple years in a row! My passion is doing what I am doing now. Being able to touch so many lives daily and making everyone feel safe, noticed and loved is what I feel God has called me to do. No matter what may be going on in the world or my life; stepping into a classroom with my students gives me appreciation and centers me by seeing their smiles and being able to embrace their love. Knowing that families entrust me and my team with their babies shows that they have peace and comfort within my walls and that they know I will do all that I can to always protect their little ones. I am an only child and have one son of my own. My son is my absolute world along with my husband and they make my family complete. On our free time we enjoy taking family vacations, family date nights, movies and watching MMA together. With being such a small and close nit family that I come from I know what I want for my own child and that is what I try to provide every student (baby, toddler, preschool or preteen) and family that enrolls at my school. I pray that any time spent with me and my school is always beneficial and what any individual may need whether that be teammates, students, families or anyone that may step foot in my school.

Mercedes Frey
Hello, my name is Mercedes. I have worked in the child care field for 10 years and have been part of the Treehouse family for the past four years. In September 2024, I was honored to step into the role of Principal at Treehouse on Hillside.
I am a proud mother of five and am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at West Texas A&M University. My family and I are passionate about sports, and our children are actively involved in school activities, including cheer and football.
From a young age, I felt a strong calling to serve in early childhood education. Over the past decade, I have embraced both the challenges and the growth this journey has brought. I am truly excited to support the Amarillo community and to share the incredible impact Treehouse can have on children and families.
